Although the 2024 NBA Playoffs are behind us, the brand will debut the shoes that Damian Lillard wore, the adidas Dame 9. This pair was part of the 2024 Playoffs Pack and is inspired by his clutch performances throughout the years. This marks the third colorway of his ninth signature shoe, which will debut in September 2024.

It is also dubbed “Purple Bust” due to its color scheme, which is Purple Burst, Core Black, and Solar Red. Looking closer, this pair features Purple throughout with Black detailing on the tongue, collar, and laces. In addition, the midsole gradients from purple to Orange. Lillard’s logo sits proudly on the tongues, and a Purple rubber outsole completes the design.

Update (9/12/24): Officially known as “Purple Burst,” this Dame 9 is inspired by Lillard’s rise from Weber State to one of the NBA’s top 75 players. The Purple used is a nod to his stint with Weber State in college, and the Red represents his 11-year career with the Portland Trailblazers. A release will take place on September 13th.
