A Look Back: OG Air Jordan VIII (8) "Bugs Bunny"
Last time we took a look into the Jordan Brand past, we showed you some images of the retro Air Jordan III “True Blue” in anticipation of its retro release later this year. Today we bring you a look at an original pair of the “Bugs Bunny” Air Jordan VIII that first released back in 1993. Recently, this colorway got the retro treatment but only in conjunction with a black/varsity red Air Jordan XV by way of a countdown package.   2. I don’t know why people keep calling these the bugs bunny’s. These are not the bugs bunny the hare VII’s where, youtube the commercials bug’s bunny has on the hare VII’s not the VIII’s. What sense does it make to have a shoe colored hare (bug’s bunny color) there was a reason jordan used him for that shoe because of the color. he wasnt used for any other color shoe but the hare’s remember the commercial when jordan was in the gym and bug’s bunny came out the floor and challenged jordan to a game of one on one he wore the hares jordan had on the bordeux’s. That commercial debut the VII the VIII’s was marvin the marcian marvin the marcian had on the aqua VIII’s. Lol don’t judge me

Everyone keeps calling the VIII’s pictured above the “Bugs Bunny’s” due to the fact that only the VII’s and VIII’s where in reference to Looney Tune characters due to the commercials, this was the only colored shoe to resemble a hare (bug’s bunny color) and the straps which referenced hare ears. And secondly, every color has a coded “nickname” so the VII’s were never the bugs bunny’s… the VIII’s were. VII’s were the “HARES”
