Adidas has unveiled the lightest mid-cut football cleat to ever hit the field.
Weighing in at only 7.9 ounces, the adiZero 5-Star Mid is more than 2 ounces lighter than the nearest competitor and is designed to make players faster and more agile, no matter the position.
Set to be worn by Denver Broncos LB Von Miller, San Francisco 49ers RB Frank Gore, and Detroit Lions WR Titus Young in the 2012 playoffs, the cleat will make it’s debut this Saturday at the U.S. Army All-America Bowl at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
