adidas AE 1 “Best of Adi” Releasing March 2024

Anthony Edwards and adidas Basketball will introduce the adidas AE 1 “Best of Adi” aka “Stormtrooper” colorway on March 1, 2024. This marks the fourth colorway of the All-Star’s first signature shoe and will retail for $120.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are having a strong year. Currently sitting number 1 in the Western Conference, which is in part due to Anthony Edwards strong season. Overall, Edwards is having a good year, and in recent news, he and adidas Basketball introduced his first signature shoe, the adidas AE 1. So far, we have seen a handful of color options, with more to come in 2024. As we continue to chronicle upcoming drops, we take a look at the “Stormtrooper” adidas AE 1, which will arrive at retailers in Spring 2024.

Keeping a simplistic look, the shoes come dressed in a White and Black color combination. Furthermore, this adidas AE 1 resembles Kobe Bryant’s adidas Crazy 1 “Stormtrooper.” Utilizing Black knit textile on the upper and around the heels, a White honeycomb-like TPU drapes the panels for stability. We have the adidas logo on the heels in Neon Green and Anthony Edwards’ initials on the woven tongue labels for personal touches. Lastly, a mixture of Boost and Lightstrike technology forms the midsole.

You can expect the adidas AE 1 “Best of Adi” to be released at select adidas Basketball retailers and online via adidas.com on March 1st, 2024. Launching in men’s sizes, the retail price is $120. Update (2/2/24): Officially known as the “Best of Adi,” this AE 1 uses the Three Stripes brand signature Black and White colors. The Black and White theme is connected to adidas Basketball. “Best of Adi” is a tribute to the past, while the Green accents look to the future. A release will take place on March 1, 2024.
