With an NBA season looking less and less likely, NCAA basketball could very well be the only form of organized basketball fans will tune into to watch. The Maui Invitational is a clear sign that the NCAA basketball season is in full swing- and the NBA lockout can’t do anything to stop that. Today, we’ve learned that the adidas design team has finalized this year’s Maui Invitational collection. For said collection, the adidas team joined creative minds with local artist Che Pilago. The Ku logo in the middle represents the Hawaiian God of War, while half circles stand for the determination it takes to achieve goales and braided ropes stand for team unity. The different sneakers included in this collection will be the adidas X-Hale low, adiZero Crazy Light & Crazy 8– all decked out in soft blue. Tune in to catch some of the games taking place during the 10-day tournament and see how the collection looks in motion.
