When’s the last time you bought a pair of sneakers that took you aback to your childhood? A sneaker that gave you a burst of energy at first sight? We’re not just talking about a sneaker you purchased because everyone else had, but something that influenced passion and truly meant something to you at the end of the day.
Well, adidas Originals has teamed up with designer and creator Frank the Butcher for a collaborative effort nearly two years in the making that shall presumably be one to remember. The near extinct adidas Originals Forum Crest Hi has been resurrected and will return very soon.
Given the abundance of sneaker releases today – from hybrids to retros – its not too often that we come across a release that holds sentimental or significant value to the consumer. Just like Frank the Butcher, we’ve all found inspiration in some of our most beloved sneakers and it just so happens that the Forum Crest Hi was one of the sneakers to motivate the Butcher enough to finally bring it back.
Set to release in 3 colors: Lead, Cardinal and the Boylston Trading Company exclusive, Black, all will feature a gold crest embroidery and buttery soft tonal suede uppers. Read “The Hustler’s Crest,” a short excerpt from Frank the Butcher that explains this release and more here.
