The last shoe that is a part of the Brooklyn Art Project by Ecentrik Artistry come in the form of classic shell toe sneakers; a perfect choice for a place credited with the birth of hip-hop. Instead of focusing one aspect of Brooklyn, Ecentrik has decided to create a collage-like pair of Superstar IIs, taking inspiration from various locations around this sector of NYC.
“It was mostly inspired by things seen in Bed Stuy, Fort Greene, Greenpoint, Dumbo, Williamsburg, Flatbush, and Borough Park. Â I pretty much took all of that and mashed it up into this shoe. Â There’s even the inclusion of a silhouette of the Brooklyn Bridge on the right shoe.” -Ecentrik Artistry
The Brooklyn Art Project: adidas Originals Superstar II “Scenery” by Ecentrik Artistry see a blue to pink fading color scheme with bursts of yellow accents.A striking abstract design of  a face with yellowed teeth makes an eye-grabbing appearance on the heels of the left sneaker, while the Brooklyn Bridge can be seen standing tall on the right shoes. Black makes a substantial appearance, as well, by covering the heel patch, triple midfoot stripes and what looks to be cracks in concrete allover the uppers. Clean, white rubber toe caps and outsoles help lighten up the busy artwork on the top portion of the shoes. A “Brooklyn Life” white t-shirt completes the total package for these “Scenery” kicks.
Every single shoe that’s a part of the “Brooklyn Art Project” from Ecentrik Artistry is distinctive and captures the essence of Brooklyn. And what’s even better, is that these customs are coming from a NYC sneaker artist, so you know he’s truly putting all of us up on game with this special release!
