Even looking at old catalogues, the 700 never seemed to circulate like its predecessors and sequel did, but it’s a beautiful piece of running shoe design. Some serious thought went into this 1985 creation, with a focus on overpronation and oversupination and plenty of biomechanical thinking in the design. On makeups like this, the ridged reflective panel and toe applications have been muted entirely with a synthetic suede treatment, but they still look impressive. While we’d sooner see the duo of meshes implemented, rather than the solitary version deployed on this variation, who can resist a UCLA colourway of anything? The maize and blue works perfectly here, with that solitary Ghilly eyelet in white finishing things perfectly, continuing a solid summer for fans of classic adidas running (watch this space for details of something very special along those lines) and these arrive in the Crooked Tongues store very soon. …
