If it came down to it, Jordan Brand would be the first to tell you that there’s a sneaker out there for everyone. From retros to hybrids, styles like the Air Jordan 1 have opened the door to endless possibilities.

Inspired by the Air Jordan XIV (14), here’s a first look at the Air Jordan 1 Retro ’99. Like the Air Jordan 1 ’89, Air Jordan 1 ’93, Air Jordan 1 ’94, and Air Jordan 1 ’95, this sample hybrid takes design cues from a classic Air Jordan and depicts stitched leather uppers, AJ 14-inspired heel counters, and a new colorway that remains to be confirmed. What’s your initial reaction to this style? Will it land in retailers soon, or will Jordan Brand scratch the design altogether?

With no release date yet in sight, we suspect the Air Jordan 1 Retro ’99 to make landfall for Fall 2014. Check out sample shots below and stay tuned for more details.
