The Air Jordan 10 “Steel” is an original colorway of Michael Jordan’s tenth signature shoe and will return to retailers in Summer 2025. The 2025 iteration will be the fourth time this pair has been released and will come with the original leather overlay on the toecap.

Air Jordan 10 Steel 2025

Many Jordan Brand fans have been asking for the return of the Air Jordan 10, which was last released in 2020. However, the last time we saw an original colorway of the model debut was in 2018. The brand has heard our cries, and in 2025, we will see the “Steel” Air Jordan 10 return.

Steel Jordan 10 Through the Years

The “Steel” Air Jordan 10 has been released three times, with the fourth arriving in the Summer of 2025. The original release arrived in 1994. Michael Jordan was retired from basketball and was currently playing baseball. However, he would eventually return to the game and wear the silhouette.

We would eventually see a retro release, which first arrived in 2005. While the model wasn’t the most popular, this pair eventually sold out like most Air Jordans, and it is one of the better versions when it comes to the overall shape. The last time Jordan Brand dropped the “Steel” Jordan 10 was in 2013.

The Story of the Toecap

While Michael Jordan was away playing baseball, he was rumored to miss a few meetings with Tinker Hatfield, who designed the Air Jordan 10. On previous models, MJ had a lot of input regarding the look, but when he finally met with Tinker, he wasn’t happy with the toe cap, which came with an extra piece of leather.

By this time, it was too late. Nike had already finished the first production run of the “Steel” Jordan 10s. The batch would be released to the public, but Tinker would make adjustments, removing the extra leather for a cleaner look. Another production run would happen, featuring the look many of us are accustomed to.

Highlighted in a White, Black, and Light Steel Grey color scheme. This Air Jordan 10 features White leather on the upper with Black, tumbled leather on the eyestays. In addition, we have a checkered pattern on the liner with Grey on the eyelets. Resembling the original pair, we will have Powder Blue on the Jumpman on the outsole, instead of Red. As mentioned, the extra leather will adorn the toe box, while the overall shape will be closer to the 1994 pair. Other details include “Air Jordan 23” on the tongues and Michael Jordan’s accolades on the rubber outsole.
