The Air Jordan 12 ‘Flu Game’ is another pair that will return in 2016. As many of you know, 2016 celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Jordan 12 and this is one of a few classic releases set to return.
While each Jordan 12 is unique, the Flu Game edition actually is special and has some added history. Michael Jordan wore this pair during the finals where his team, the Chicago Bulls played against the Utah Jazz. Before the start in game 5 of the series, Jordan came down with flu like symptoms. Even though he was very sick, he still went on to play and scored 38 points. The bulls would go on to win that game 90 to 88.
Air Jordan 12 Flu Game 2016 Details
The Flu Game Air Jordan 12 originally released in 1997. In 2003, the shoes released once again which was the first time this pair retrod. The last release came in 2009 which was on the limited side, but differed from the OG and first retro. This time the shoes had a special insignia by the heel that referenced the game.
For 2016, the Flu Games are said to be remastered, so we hope that the quality stands high compared to these past releases that Jordan Brand has been releasing. Using Black leather on the uppers, Varsity Red is then added through the mudguard that extends to the sole. Each pair will come with original packaging along with a retro card.
