Nike recently unveiled the Doernbecher Freestyle 20 Collection to celebrate the brand’s 20th Anniversary with OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Like the other collections, six pairs of sneakers will be released and designed by six young patients. Furthermore, each pair is inspired by their stories and what they enjoy.
Nike will also release 20 pairs of the “Doernbecher” Air Jordan 20 to celebrate this special milestone. This is also the first time the Air Jordan 20 has joined the “DB” series. Like other pairs, it will feature playful graphics and various details. The mid-foot strap also has laser engraving, while the same pattern adorns the liner. It also comes in Blue, White, and Black, with the first two shades used in the Doernbecher campaign. The medial side is individually numbered; each pair has a wooden box and a jacket.
Each pair will be auctioned off, with proceeds going directly to the hospital. The auction will begin on October 21st and end on October 30th at noon EST.
