Each year, there are several Jordan Brand shoes that never make it past the sample stage. These two Air Jordan 2K9s (2009) remained behind closed doors and will likely never hit retail. Differences between these and the release 2009s include a lack of marbleized coloring at the midfoot and addition of a dot pattern around the patent toe cap. The black patent/red/grey scheme resembles so many great Jordans of years past and is labeled with “SAMPLE 048” on the inside heel. The black/white/red color scheme is fairly similar to the Air Jordan 2009 (2K9) White/ Metallic Silver – Black but is distinguished by its red heel piece. The inside heel is marked with “SAMPLE 057.” These Air Jordan 2009 (2K9) samples are unreleased samples for now.
