Following our looks at the Nike “Year Of The Dragon” Collection and the Kobe VII System Supreme, we now bring you a detailed look at the accompanying Air Jordan 2012.
The YOTD features a bold blue and yellow colorway, as the colors represent supremacy in Chinese culture and mimic the “Nine Dragon Screen” of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Â Decorated with dragons on the inner bootie and Chinese characters on the medial leather panel of the upper, the AJ 2012 is the boldest of the YOTD offerings.
For the first time, we are also able to see the full design features of the new Jordan Brand signature. Â Featuring two inner booties, one for a low cut fit, the other with an ankle strap for the more supportive feel of a high-top, the 2012 comes fully equipped with three different drop-in insoles – “Fly Through” with full-length Max Air, “Fly Over” with Max Air in the heel and a forefoot Zoom unit, and “Fly Around” with a Zoom Air heel cushioning unit. Â Ultimately, the shoe will allow for the most most customizable fit of any piece of footwear to ever hit the market.
Look for the Air Jordan 2012 “Year Of The Dragon” to land at select Jordan retailers in the coming weeks.
