Around 7 years ago, the sneaker world got their first glimpse at a mismatched set of Jordan 3s. One shoe was draped in ‘Blue Denim’ and the other a ‘Khaki’ colored suede.
Today English Sole gives us a detailed look at both of those pairs as complete sets (with both the left and right shoes of each colorway). When these originally surfaced, very little was known about these pairs but now we can confirm that this Air Jordan 3 is a 1 of 3 sample, with 1 of those sets being the mismatched set.
The two were made to test out how different types of materials would hold up on the Jordan 3 model and were created without the intention of ever actually making it to market. Each pair is put together on a White midsole with Gum bottoms and uses the same Blue and Tan elephant print on the mudguards. But the similarities stop there. The denim pair is draped in a Navy Blue denim upper with Tan stitching, Tan Jumpman, and Tan heel tabs and is topped off with a Blue suede tongue. The Khaki pair contrasts the denim in that the Jumpman is Blue, but the rest of the upper is sueded out in a clean Khaki colored suede.
If you’re not English Sole, DJ Khaled, or Perfect Pair (who have the only other 2 complete pairs) don’t get your hopes up on these reaching collections any time soon as there are currently no plans for a release.
