As we continue running down the 2025 drops, one of the upcoming pairs is the “Lucky Shorts” Air Jordan 3. This pair will feature a new color placement, accented with Legend Blue details.

One thing you could count on from Michael Jordan was wearing his University of North Carolina (UNC) practice shorts beneath his professional uniform. This tradition began in college, where he led the UNC Tar Heels to an NCAA championship in 1982. These “Lucky” shorts symbolized a connection to his roots and a superstition he had, which made him wear them every game playing for the Chicago Bulls. The Light Blue shorts, representing UNC’s colors, became a talisman for Jordan.

This Air Jordan 3 features a new look, consisting of a White, Hydrogen Blue, Legend Blue, Photon Dust, Pure Platinum, and Sail color scheme. Although the image is a mock-up, you can expect something similar to this to release. Highlighted with White across the leather upper, Grey suede will replace the signature elephant print around the toe and heel. Highlighted with Legend Blue on the midsole and Hydrogen Blue on the eyelets. Other details include the Jumpman on the tongues and heels, while a Grey rubber outsole completes the design.

Air Jordan 3 Lucky Shorts Release Date

The Air Jordan 3 “Lucky Shorts” will be released on March 29th, 2025, at select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike.com. The retail price is $200 in men’s, $150 in grade school, $90 in preschool, and $75 in toddler sizes. Once we have more details, we will keep you updated.

The “Lucky Shorts” Air Jordan 3 was originally expected to debut on January 25th. However, the “Black Cat” Jordan 3 has taken its place. This pair is now expected to launch on March 29, 2025.
