Victor Nguyen-Long who is the Nike Sportswear Digital Brand Manager is leaving the brand. Nike has gifted him a going away present, the Air Jordan 3 ‘Black Cement’ which he wasn’t able to pickup when originally released.
Showing his new gift off on Instagram, he said “Every sneakerhead has a handful of J’s they’ve always wanted, but never managed to get. They’re the ones that got away.”
The Air Jordan 3 ‘Black Cement’ that he received is apart of the 2008 Countdown Pack. While we are sure he was excited to receive the shoes, it’s the packaging that stands out. Using a wooden custom box, his initials VNL inside the Wings logo lands on the lid. There is also custom lace deubrés with his initials. On the bottom of the box is the names of his co-workers which is lasered.
Victor’s parting words on his gift was “A beautiful memorial to the best damn team in the world.” Check out a few more images below and let us know what you think of this gift by leaving a comment.
