The “Black Cement” Jordan 4 was released in 1999 and is a collector’s item. Over the years, the sneakers had a high resell price, but after they sold out at stores. What was special about the release was to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the original launch.

Much like the original drop, the shoes come dressed in Black, Cement Grey, and Red. While the shape was slightly different compared to the ’89 pair, it was close. It is constructed with Black nubuck on the upper and the same shade on the wings, tongues, and heel tabs. Red fills in the Jumpman on the tongues and hints on the toe and heels. Signature Nike Air branding, visible Air unit in the heel, and Flight on the tongue connected to the ’80s pair.

This pair comes in a Silver Jordan box instead of the original style. As well, a retro card that featured MJ in the Jordan 4 was placed inside the box.

Nowadays, most pairs have cracked midsoles, and the wings have deteriorated. Some pairs will also need the heel tabs swapped due to cracking. Unfortunately, the shoes are no longer wearable unless you do a sole swap.
