Not long ago we gave you a preview of the Air Jordan 4 Transformers which is a custom by The Shoe Surgeon for Mark Wahlberg. Jordan Brand also cooked him up something special, an official Air Jordan 5 ‘Transformers’ that was made for the release of Transformers: The Last Knight.
What you may notice is that this Air Jordan 5 has a similar look to that of the Doernbecher release. Looking closer the number 84 is stitched by the heel which pays tribute to when the first episode of Transformers premiered. Following we have Optimus Prime’s colors used on the Jumpman branding located on the tongue and shark teeth. Other details include a glow in the dark translucent outsole with the Transformers logo.
Below you can check out more images of the Air Jordan 5 Transformers along with a video from Mark Wahlberg. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
Update: In an interview with Jordan Brand, Mark Wahlberg’s original idea for the Air Jordan 5 Transformers was to have the model transform from the Air Jordan 4 into the Air Jordan 5. While the idea would have been insanely dope, we aren’t sure how this could be achieved. Although it didn’t happen, you can enjoy new images.
