One of the most beloved Air Jordan’s of all time is the ‘Infrared’ Air Jordan 6 which we saw land at retailers back in 2014. It looks like Jordan Brand was prepping for this pair to launch two year prior. Dating back to 2012, the brand designed the Air Jordan 6 Infrared Alternate Sample which as you know, never landed at retailers.
There are a few changes from this Sample version of the Air Jordan 6 ‘Infrared’ to the release. As well, a similar sample was made by Jordan Brand in the early 2000s. Looking at the heel, the Sample features the Jumpman branding done in Infrared instead of Black. Less Infrared is also used on the midsole while the outsole has a milky translucent tint compared to Blue.
Below are additional images of the Alternate Sample Air Jordan 6 Infrared. For those that are interested in purchasing, a size 10 is available at Stadium Goods which will set you back $5,000.
