The Air Jordan 7 ‘Afrobeats’ is a new colorway that will help celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the model.
In 2022, we will see multiple colorways release to celebrate with some new and some older retros. So far, we know that Trophy Room will have its own collaboration, the ‘Citrus’ pair will also return, and we have a new colorway known as ‘Sapphire’ releasing.
For those that don’t know what Afrobeats is, here is the definition from Wikipedia: Afrobeats, also known as Afro-pop, Afro-fusion, is an umbrella term to describe popular music from West Africa and the diaspora that initially developed in Nigeria, Ghana, and the UK in the 2000s and 2010s.
Although the image of this Air Jordan 7 is a photoshop, it’s an accurate representation of what’s releasing. Utilizing shades of Beige and Tan across the upper, we have unique designs that wrap the heel and panels that resemble what we saw on the BIN 23. Furthermore, we have a White and Black design that covers the tongue and bootie. Black hits the laces, midsole, and outsole, while the branding has the same shade of Beige. Finishing the look is Blue accented on the midsole.
