We know them as the Marvin the Martian Air Jordan 7, but according to info from Nike, the inspiration came elsewhere. Instantly we thought it could be due to legal issues with Warner Brothers, but Jordan Brand has announced a partnership and more shoes to come, ruling out that theory.
From Nike, they have said the Air Jordan 7 is inspired by the nighttime lights of Barcelona: “Inspired by the nighttime lights of Barcelona, the newest color of the Air Jordan 7 Retro is a snapshot from the historic summer of 1992.” We are more of a fan of the Marvin the Martian nickname, although we can see them being called “Barcelona Nights”.
The Marvin the Martian Air Jordan 7 will launch on March 7th and retails for $190. Kids sizes will also be available.
