The Doernbecher Freestyle Collection continues this year as we get our first detailed look at the Air Jordan 9 “Doernbecher” by 11-year old, Oswaldo Jimenez.

Diagnosed with severe pulmonary hypertension, this kid put his differences aside to create an Air Jordan 9 that takes inspiration from his Mexican heritage. Coming in a white, black, and gold colorway, this retro features Oslwado’s nickname, “Pollito”, on the tongue which means “little chicken” in Spanish, shows feather-like lasering throughout the mudgaurds, reveals Oswaldo’s birthday, September 13, behind the tongue, and displays his favorite number “17” on the back heel. What is also accompanied by a translucent outsole, red and green accents can be seen which pay homage to his hometown of Queretaro, Mexico.

See detailed images below of the Air Jordan 9 “Doernbecher” and get ready as the sneaker makes its way to Nike.com and select retailers on November 30th. Keep it here at Sneaker Files for more news of pricing and availability.
