With the release of the Air Jordan III ’88, the team over at Jordan Brand paid homage to MJ’s epic slam dunk contest victory. While the sneakers were indeed a retro of the kicks MJ took flight in, sneaker customizer Rocket Boy Nift decided to expand on the Air Jordan dunk contest-inspired kicks with his latest body of work. Using the “Fire Red” Air Jordan III as his canvas, RBN has created this dope pair of “Dunk Contest” Air Jordan III’s. In utilizing an ill photo effect to replace both the front and back elephant print sections, RBN uses the timeless photo of MJ flying from the free throw line to lead the way.
