Everyone has their own favorite Pokemon, but there isn’t a person alive who doesn’t have a lil sweet spot for the ever-present Pikachu. Over the course of the entire show, and still in some of the video game installments of Pokemon, Pikachu is always showing his loyalty to his master, Ash Ketchum, and embodies an unrelenting determination to win every fight, despite his small size. Up and coming sneaker artist, DeAndre Collins, has pulled off a new pair of custom shoes, using the popular character as the theme for the project.
The Air Jordan IV (4) “Pikachu” customs by DeAndre Collins have a yellow leather upper, with red accenting throughout, and speckled, black midsoles. The red overlays on the yellow uppers are the perfect representation of the radioactive mouse. Red continues to appear on the heel guard and toes of the outsole. The midsole arrives with yellow speckles splattered all over the black base. To seal the deal with the theme on these Air Jordan IVs, patches of Pikachu take their place on the tongues.
We love personal projects by sneaker artists because they showcase their talent, and incorporate a lot of their personality. Great job, DeAndre Collins! Check out some more shots of these AJ4s, down below!
