Last month we saw an Air Jordan IX accompany the Air Jordan III and IV for an unprecedented Silver Anniversary trio release. While these all-white Air Jordan signature series releases are a first for most silhouettes, Jordanheads rejoiced when news of a “Powder Blue” Air Jordan IX return surfaced. Pictured here is that very white/black-university blue Air Jordan IX mentioned throughout 2010 as one of the most anticipated Jordan drops. As you can see from the pictures included here, “powder” blue has been replaced with what looks to be more like “university” blue. Other minor changes included a black jumpman logo instead of the OG blue one, and a stitched number 23 on the heel absent from the OG pair. This colorway is set to officially drop May 29th- the same month of another very coveted Air Jordan Silver Anniversary drop. It looks like along with the summer heat will come some sneaker heat as well.
