Let’s take a trip down south to Louisiana, LSU to be specific! Up and coming sneaker artist, Going Through Customs, has created an impressive sneaker homage to the university, using a theme inspired by the school’s mascot, Mike the Tiger.
The Air Jordan “Son of Mike The Tiger” customs by Going Through Customs showcase the LSU school colors, purple and yellow gold throughout the entire project. The uppers are split between purple and yellow gold, with purple splashing on top of the yellow gold base, followed by some slight splattering effects applied to them. The toe caps see yellow and purple, tiger stripe pattern, making a clear reference to Mike the Tiger. The midsoles also carry a purple and yellow color combo, with purple being the dominant tone, and yellow on the shark teeth ridges, with purple flakes showering it. Â The LSU logo scrolls across the lace enclosure, which has traditional Jordan Brand oriented graphics all over.
These kicks are as wild as can be, but we’re loving them! We seldom see custom Air Jordan Son of Mars customs, so it’s refreshing to see an oftern overlooked model get some attention. The entire design is amazing, and really captures the vivacious school spirit of LSU.
