The next pair of customs coming our way from Ecentrik Artistry’s “Brooklyn Art Project,” are a pair of Air Jordan V (5) sneakers, complete with classic Coney Island insginia adorned allover the shoes.
The Brooklyn Art Project: Air Jordan V (5) “Coney Island” by Ecentrik Artistry see an orange upper with black script on the rear panels with yellow accents.. Right away, you can see the nickname of these AJ5s scrolled across the top panels of the right side uppers, which match the shark teeth ridges found within the midsole. A yellow Jumpman on the tongues continue the use of the yellow, as well as the lining. And it this Coney Island theme ain’t complete if Tilly Face didn’t play a role. The Coney Island mascot can be seen on the top portion of the paneling on the left sneaker. On the rear panels, famous attractions of Coney Island spread across the heel guard. Names like Luna Park and The Warrior can be seen from the above photo. Ecentrik’s use of black tones down the otherwise bright sneakers, by appearing on the midfoot netting, midsole, and tongues.
Ecentrik said it was only right for him to do a Coney Island dedication, in his Brooklyn Art Project, and we agree! If you look at close-ups of the details, you can’t even tell these started out as Air Jordan V “Laney” shoes! Visit the Ecentrik Art shop to cop a pair of these, or any other shoes a part of the “Brooklyn Art Project!”
