Alright sneakerheads, it looks like there’s a bit of sneaker business we need to go ahead and clear up for you all this morning. The black pair of Air Jordan V’s that took on the “Black Laney” nickname has nothing to do with MJ’s high school. This latest pair of Jordans is actually named the the Air Jordan V “Shanghai Shen”. Aparently, thanks to some sharp sneakerheads out there, the logo that is placed towards the heel area of these kicks is actually is indicative of the Chinese “Shen”, which is an abbreviation for Shanghai. Also accompanying this latest development are talks that this pair may follow the same path as the “Tokyo 23” pair and release solely as a China exclusive.
