Versace is like what Gucci was for rappers about 10 years ago. It was a major trend to rock Gucci, with most people opting for wallets or handbags over the apparel. But now, fashion brands are starting to explore the areas that Gucci has marched into, and are becoming more urban-influenced. With the help of a couple Drake verses dedicated to them, Versace has now taken the lead for go-to hip hop accessories, especially since luxurious items like the classic Versace scarfs are making a strong comeback. Now, we’re getting a look at a pair of custom Jays, from Fudacustoms, arriving in a Versace theme.
The Air Jordan V (5) “Versace” customs by Fudacustoms have mostly black leather uppers, with paneling covered in teal, blue, yellow and leopard print. The black leather that makes up the uppers is the best blank canvas for the busy teal colored panels on the heel and toe caps. Aside from the icy outsole, the bottom of these kicks see a color inversion of the Air Jordan V (5) “Shanghai Shen” shoes, with yellow on the shark teeth, and royal blue stretching throughout. The blue and yellow color combo continues to appear on the tongues and lining.
