Back in November we showed you a pair of Air Jordan XI ‘Cool Grey’s’ which had an error many wished would have happened on their pair, in the form of a reversed Jumpman, making the 2010 retro look more like its previous Retro+ version.

The guys over at Sole Supremacy have found, yet again, another pair of Cool Grey’s that is even more like their predecessor. This pair features the traditional translucent outsole featured on the first run of Retro XI’s from ’00-’01. Tinting the outsole with a light blue wasn’t very well received and one lucky GS sized pair ended up without the ice-blue treatment.

What are your thoughts… ‘Factory error’ or ‘the way they were meant to be?’

  4. One would think it’s a factory error. My thinking is JB is putting out shoes that have part of the original shoes so they hold more value as a collector item. Jordan is a smart man he knows how to keep people buying his shoes. I bet it’s a pair out there that is 100% original with reverse jumpman and clear sole. You say error I say strategy.

  5. In all honesty, JB should have kept it original and left the shoe as is WITHOUT the blue tinted sole. Mean in all essence and regardless of the sole yellowing, from viewing those pics above, there is no one who can honestly say that those blue tinted goes better than that grey sole!!! Just sayin’

  15. Id rather have the blue tint since my cool grey look way better than my SJ’s and anniversary’s. Everyone Ive ever shown my XI’s to always likes the icey blue…….they look better for longer…..nuff said

  16. Man my jumpman was like the retros on my 2010 cool greys. There legit everything checks out. Even took em to Nike an they came up in system. I got very lucky.
