Air Jordan Fusion 12 (XII)
In the past, many different Air Jordan sneakers have been created by fusing parts of other Air Jordan models together, but never has an Air Jordan sneaker been fused with another type of shoe altogether. The Air Jordan Fusion XII (12) was first of many sneakers created by Jordan Brand by fusing certain Air Jordan retro sneakers with the ever popular and classic Nike Air Force 1 (ones).
The basic shape of the Air Jordan Fusion 12 is that of the standard Nike Air Force 1 (ones) mid. The front quarter is the same type of material found on the classic Air Jordan 12 (XII) front quarter, styled in the same shape as the front quarter of the Nike Air Force 1 (ones). The upper is leather with the Japanese “rising sun” style of stitching, which was borrowed from the Air Jordan 12. The tongue features the Jumpman logo and the stitched “TWO3,” both inspired by the tongue of the Air Jordan XII (12). On the inside of the tongue, the words “Best of Both Worlds” is embroidered. The traditional Nike Air Force 1 (Ones) mids strap is intact on the Air Jordan Fusion XII (12). The heel is styled after the Air Jordan XII (12) with a finger loop. The Air Jordan Fusion 12 (XII)’s sole is inspired by the Nike Air Force 1 (ones).
When Air Jordan fans originally caught wind of the idea of Air Jordan Fusions, they didn’t approve of it. They thought that the Air Jordan Fusion XII (12) was a “gimmick” by Jordan Brand, trying to boost sales without having to create something new. But, the Air Jordan Fusion 12 (XII) proved to be just as strong as any previous Air Jordan model as well as the Nike Air Force 1 (ones). People came around and grew to like the idea of the fusions, and the Air Jordan Fusion XII (12) sold really well.
