The Air Jordan 11 Low IE “Bred” 1996 was released on October 1, 1996, and retailed for $115. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, this variation of the Air Jordan 11 features a lighter upper with additional ventilation.
Air Jordan 11 Low IE Bred 1996 History
People either love or hate the Air Jordan 11 Low IE. However, the “Bred” iteration gets additional love due to being an original colorway and dressed in the classic “Chicago” colors. For years, it was speculated what “IE” stood for. In 2011, Nike confirmed on Twitter that “IE” stands for “International Exclusive.” Furthermore, the pair is built for the Summer as it features more ventilation on the upper compared to the traditional Jordan 11.
Highlighted in a Black, Dark Grey, and True Red color combination. Constructed with Black leather on the upper, the patent leather has been replaced and features mesh windows around the lower part of the shoes. A stitched pattern lands on top, and more leather forms the tongues. Adding pop, True Red fills in the Jumpman branding, liner, inside of the tongue, pods on the outsole, and within the carbon fiber mid-foot shank plate. Other details include a White midsole and a Dark Grey foggy translucent outsole.
Since the sneakers were released in 1996, they are no longer wearable. However, you could reglue the outsole to the midsole and the midsole to the upper, which should help. Also, the outsole will be aged, and it will be dark Yellow on some pairs.
As for the packaging, it comes housed in a Brown and Red Nike box with tissue paper.
