This year the brand is celebrating its 25th anniversary with nine footwear releases throughout the year. The first is the reissue of the original Airwalk Enigma. Previously released in late 2010 as a Japan exclusive, the shoe will be available in limited quantities with a custom designed 25th Anniversary footbed in the US & Canada at www.airwalk.com/shop.
At the time of its original release in 1991, the chunkier, but lighter, style of the Enigma represented the first significant shift away from the heavily molded and rubberized skate shoes that dominated the late 80’s. The innovative design replaced all that weight with high durability leathers and suedes.
The Enigma will retail for $75.00 and will be available exclusively at Airwalk’s online shop Airwalk.com/shop.
