Asics has another upcoming release that is inspired by the Southern France province of Aix-En and of course Lavender. The end result is this Asics Gel Lyte V ‘Aix-En Provence’ release that will be taking place shortly.
As you can see, this Asics Gel Lyte V features premium suede through the uppers with hits of Lavender. Following is Off-White which lands on the heel.
Here is an except taken from Asics UK:
”Inspired by a late-night Provençal picnic and lavender. The sides of Mount St.Victoire (Southern France) have been thickly coated in Lavender for as long as anyone can remember. It was this Lavender covered mountain that Paul Cezanne immortalised in some of his most famous works and it is the purple flower that is the inspiration for the latest release from Asics Tiger.
The legacy of ASICS innovation continues with the introduction of the Gel-Lyte V, a subtle progression within the Gel-Lyte series that features a sole unit with a stability insert, Gel pad at the heel and P-Gel in the forefoot, as well as a sleeker, more form-fitting toe design to create extra comfort. It’s a more flexible and lighter sneaker. A product of this time and an intelligent piece of performance shoe design.”
For those wanting to purchase the Asics Gel Lyte V Aix-En Provence, they are set to release on July 29th, 2016. Select Asics retailers will have them, one being Foot Patrol. Check out additional images below.
