For a while it seemed like Asics took a break on the Gel Lyte V and focused more on the Gel Lyte III and other models. It does make sense since the Gel Lyte III is celebrating it’s 25th anniversary. All that has changed with a fresh look on this new pair of Gel Lyte Vs.
The store that has the Asics Gel Lyte V is calling them Coral Reef, which seems appropriate due to the color theme. The uppers which appear to use nubuck are dressed in coral reef, a shade of pink. The branding and other hints on the shoes is done clear water which makes the ocean theme clear. Finishing them off is a white midsole and gum outsole.
The Coral Reef Asics Gel Lyte V can be purchase now via SNKRS, but a U.S. release date is unknown at the moment.
