For the first time since 2015, Converse and Bandulu have teamed up to explore the relationship between creativity and hoops – remixing Converse classics such as Pro Leather and Chuck 70, along with complementing apparel and accessories.
A modern take on its original 1970s design, the Chuck 70 is coated with a Cappuccino-colored upper and with embroidered paint drip along with its midsole and canvas upper.
The Pro Leather – the shoe made famous by Julius “Dr. J” Erving, incorporates Bandulu’s design by applying its signature embroidered paint drip details on the silhouette.
“We approached this collection as an ode to OG basketball culture through the lens of craft and artistry,” said Bandulu founder Pat Peltier.
Also, the two will release a capsule collection that features apparel pieces and accessories. Each is inspired by basketball and includes a basketball bag, hoodie with chenille embroidered graphics, t-shirt, and basketball shorts.
