Benjamin Kapelushnik who goes by the name Benjamin Kickz online is only 16 years old and has made a substantial living of reselling sneakers. You may have seen him on Instagram flossing multiple pairs of unreleased sneakers in a full size run. What you may not know is, he has claimed to have made $1 million off reselling sneakers.
One of his clients is none other than DJ Khaled who you may have seen the two hanging out on their Instagram pages. He has even taken Benjamin on stage at his concerts. His friendship with Khaled has also led him to other clients.
“I go to all the concerts with him and he plugs me in with all the celebrities. I’ve met a lot of people through him. He’s helped me a lot.”
According to Benjamin, he met DJ Khaled through someone that wanted three Air Jordan 11 ‘Pantone’ packs. From then on, every early release he gets, Khaled buys multiple pairs of.
When asked which is his preference to work with, athletes or rappers, he said the following: “I like working with rappers more, because I love hip-hop and the music industry. It’s more satisfying for me. Don’t get me wrong: I like selling to athletes, too, but I can relate to the hip-hop stars more.”
He doesn’t plan on reselling sneakers forever, although making a million dollars would convince some to continue. He wants to get an MBA and eventually open a store.
