Till this day, Spike Lee’s ‘Do the Right Thing’ is an impactful film which is still relevant till this day. Releasing back in 1989, the film had an iconic sneaker moment where Buggin’ Out (played by Giancarlo Esposito) got his Air Jordan 4 ‘Cement’ scuffed by a Celtics fan.
To pay tribute to the movie, Jordan Brand designed an exact version of the Air Jordan 4 worn by Buggin’ Out. This also includes the Green, Yellow and Red laces, a large scuff on the toe box and a toothbrush he used to scrub the scuff.
Along with the Air Jordan 4 came the Jordan Fly 89 which was gifted to friends and family members of Jordan Brand. The package also came with a Jason Markk cleaning kit.
At the time of writing, it isn’t known if they will release or stay a friends and family exclusive. If Jordan Brand decides to release them, we will make sure to let you know. Make sure to visit the comments section below with your thoughts.
