Detroit’s own Burn Rubber is at it again with New Balance with a new collaboration on the 572. This time inspiration is drawn from Vernors.
The ginger ale drink was created by James Vernor who resided from Burn Rubber’s hometown of Detroit, Michigan. Vernor returned from the Civil War in 1866 where he came across his now branded drink in an oak cast barrel. Due to time, it had turned into a sweet ginger flavor.
The Vernors New Balance 572 features multiple colors of green while using canvas. Hints of yellow accent the shoes, while a wood grain pattern sits on the toe box.
