There is no denying that sneaker reselling is a thriving business and reports have started from brand analysts that the market is worth about $1 billion. The market is headlined by Nike and Jordan Brand releases, while adidas and other brands are making their presence known.
Since the market is booming, this leads to companies digging to figure out the reasons behind the resell market. The latest to do so is Business Insider who, of course takes an economical approach to the sneaker secondary market.
Business Insider just released a documentary about the sneaker resell market. They made a few stops at Flight Club and Stadium Goods while they also sat down with collectors.
Although everyone has their opinion on resellers, it is part of the game now and although Jordan Brand and Nike have tried to slow it down with restocks, it doesn’t appear that has helped. Check out the short documentary below and let us know what you think.
