Boston retailer Concepts is once again releasing its Concepts x New Balance 998 “C-Note” collaboration, which will arrive at retailers in October 2023.

The Concepts x New Balance 998 “C-Note” was originally released in September 2013, and to celebrate the 10th Anniversary, the pair will return. Furthermore, New Balance is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the 998, which makes this re-launch even more special.
We received some hints about the potential return from Deon Point, the creative director of Concepts, via his Instagram. Regarding the 2023 version, he stated that it might embrace an updated “Old Money…” and potentially be inspired by the recent revamp of the original model, which was relaunched earlier this year and was part of Teddy Santis’ Made in USA collection. The biggest difference between the 2013 and 2023 versions is the overall shape.
Constructed with premium materials and 3M reflective details, Concepts branding adorns the lateral side. Each pair comes with extra laces, and special packaging inspired by the $100 bill, with Concepts and New Balance branding.
