The city of Wajima is known for their lacquerware and is spotlighted on Converse’s 100th Anniversary Chuck Taylor All Star High. By definition, lacquer is “a clear or coloured varnish that dries by solvent evaporation and often a curing process as well that produces a hard, durable finish.” This design is featured on two All Star Highs available in black with red trim and red with black trim. Both styles feature glossy uppers with subtle accents that produces a simple appearance. You can find the WaJima Chuck Taylor All Star Highs now at Flauge.
