A known low-top sneaker enthusiast, Mike Bibby was recently seen taking to the court in New York Knicks colorways of the CP3.V. Today, we take a look at some of the more subtle details that help complete the CP3.V, but which could easily go overlooked. For example, this fifth edition of the Jordan Brand CP line contains 61 zonal cutouts as an homage to the star point guard’s grandfather, who passed away at the age of 61 before Chris Paul honored him by dropping 61 points in his next high school game. On the right heel, there are four different strings of (five, two, four and nine) dots that signify his son’s birthdate- May 24, 2009. The left shoe’s heel has a series of nine, ten and eleven dots that stand for his wedding date, September 10, 2011. Moreover, the instep comes with a tally of five to mark the fifth edition of the CP3 line; and, the size of each pair can also be found on the heel. Does this shoe have more meaning to you now?
