With opening day games coming our way as of this weekend, the MLB is almost back. In light of the rapidly approaching season, Sports Illustrated is cranking up their coverage. In doing so, Tampa Bay’s own David Price has landed on the cover of the prestigious magazine for the third time.
Apparently, the third time is a charm as sneakerheads everywhere will appreciate the kicks Price decided to rock for his latest SI cover photo. As he took the makeshift mound for his cover closeup, he chose to rock a crispy pair of ‘Concord’ Air Jordan XI’s.
Yes, it’s a wonderful sight to see the ‘Concords’ plastered on the cover, but you should also notice that they aren’t cleats. Sorry sneakerheads, but don’t get your hopes up and expect Price to pull a CC Sabathia and rock the ‘Concord’ XI cleats on the mound this year.
Check out the pics and let us know how you feel about the ‘Concords’ getting some cover love.
