All red everything is still the trend with a lot of sneakerheads so far in 2014, and now the statement making colorway is creeping it’s way into higher end brands’ footwear projects this Spring. Stolkholm fashion house designer Erik Bjerkesjo is teaming with Miami based brand, Del Toro, to bring forth a new all red and all blue cross trainer for the Spring! The Del Toro x Erik Bjerkesjo Cross Trainer is an intricately layered midtop sneaker made of suede, leather, and rubber in an all red or blue color theme. The uppers feature overlays along the heel of the shoe, which provide for a sandal-like ankle collar. The lacing has a suede enclosure on top of the waxed laces. “Del Toro” is engraved along the midfoot of the rubber outsoles to contribute further detailing. The only design aspect that varies between the two cross trainer models is the red accenting heel tab on the blue pair.
