Detailed Look: Air Jordan VI (6) - L.A. Lakers

Earlier this year, we previewed the “Lakers” Air Jordan 6 and we heard mixed responses from our readers. Some of you couldn’t help but love them, while others hated them with a passion. Whatever the case may be, we now have more detailed images of the sneakers to help you make your decision on this pair. Hosting a black upper accented by maize and purple, this AJ 6 is obviously inspired by the Los Angeles Lakers, the reigning NBA Champions. The “L.A. Lakers” Air Jordan VI is set to debut later this year, so stay tuned for any updates.

  9. Ok I may have 38 pairs of original jordans/Package releases & limited release only. I have done more than my part in supporting Jordan financially but i have 2 points to make:

    1. These look EXACTLY like the fake Jordan Boom of like 2002-2005'. The solid uncomfortable lookin black with the Lakers stitching??? Yea they're the champs but come on for the past 2 years this is the kinda stuff(sh*t) the Jordan Brand has been releasing in high volume to the public and its really caused the entire Jordan shoe line to become "watered Down" (for lack of better words).

    2. Can we look at the facts…we know Jordan & Pippen were the coldest but in the sneaker bizness it was Jordan & Tinker. When the J's first release they didnt take off untill Tinker came onboard and when Tinker left what happened to the signature series?? It starts to decline in hype, long long early morning lines, and sales. Nike/Jordan/WHOEVER IS IN POWER. GO GET TINKER BACK!!!

    615BC, shows how much you know. Tinker has been back. Let's see there's the XV, the XX, the XX3, and most recently the horrible looking Jordan 2010. Tinker isn't the saviour. Although he did do a good job on the XX and XX3.

  22. WTF is this trash!? First of all the Lakers have been one of the rival basketball dynesties that Michael Jordan and the Bulls defeated when he was playing! I understand that they are the chamipons, but I personaly feel that by honoring them in their accoplishment by making a Air Jordan represnting the team through it very vague color way, is a large slap in the face to the Bulls and Michael Jordan for their historical accoplishment in the game of basketball. I think its terrible that of all Air Jordans in the collection the 6's silhouette has to be the model to carry these colors. I can understand the Celtic's color way on the 1's in the DMP's, but not to sound hypocritical, I feel the Lakers are misrepresented and kind of feel bad about it. But in the long run I feel this shoe doesn't cut it. On a scale of 1-10 I overall it a 2. For sure this shoe is not on my "list of wants".

  23. why is evry1 so angry??evry1 knows jordan brand n mj r releasing all dis garbage cuz he needs money 2 buy the bobcats..thats why he doesnt give a fuck about slapping the bulls in the face w a laker, celtic, magic colored shoes..he jus needs da dough 4 da bobcats..can ya'll jus let mj get dat paper n stop complaining cuz ya'll gonna cop any god damn way!!
