As an Asian American man, people will often ask me “Where are you from?” When I reply, “Korea”, the question I invariably get asked, after a solemn look, is “Which one?”. I guess they think if I’m from the North (I’m not), they’ll need to keep an extra eye on me, just in case I have a nuclear weapon in my pocket. Well, this upcoming pack from the good folks at Reebok leaves no room for question as to which Korea it’s repping, as 3 of the 4 shoes feature the colors that make up the South Korean flag (black, red, and blue).
The pack features a Black, Red, Blue, and Baby Blue version, all of which feature suede and mesh uppers, atop a white and grey outsole accented with each particular shoe’s main color. Reebok has brought us a plethora of dope releases to commemorate the Classic Leather’s 30 Year Anniversary (Packer Shoes’ “Aztec”, Burn Rubber’s “Spirit of Detroit”, and Solebox’s recently released “Sturnella Militaris”, just to name a few), and they don’t look to be slowing any time soon, as this simple-yet-colorful collection is one definitely worth checking out (Korean or not).
