Earlier this month, Reebok released the Reebok Pump Fury (formerly known as the Insta Pump Fury) “Children’s Day”, a sneaker created to commemorate the Japanese holiday, which (oddly) is celebrated twice a year, once for girls (March 3rd) and once for boys (May 5th).
On March 3rd, the Japanese celebrate by decorating their houses with plum blossoms, while on May 5th, they celebrate by flying carp streamers; Reebok honors those things by featuring the plum blossom in the shoe’s lining, and utilizing a print on the upper similar to the print found on carp streamers. The black uppers of the shoe features the typical nylon material found on the 90’s-era Reebok runner, with black leather on the toecap. The shoe sits on the Pump Fury’s unique white and red split sole, with red branding finishing off the sneaker.
The shoe released on May 4th in very limited quantities at various Reebok retailers across the world, but you might be able to find a pair of this very unique retro runner at Feature. Hit them up to see if they have any pairs left (info below).
