Diadora and its Heritage line have teamed up with Foot Patrol for a trio of exclusive colorways of the B.Original.
Italian footwear brand Diadora re-release their 70′s tennis shoe the B.Original in three colour options for A/W ’12.
The word Diadora comes from the greek διὰ δωρέα ”dia-dorea” Which means “to share gifts and honours”. The brand name is also accompanied by a symbol, an ornament, which represents the origins of the company, which are rooted in a craftsman’s laboratory fabricating shoes since 1948. It’s not a flash or the tip of an arrow, as it may seem, it’s more appropriately the stylized version of an open upper: the very main element to make a shoe, whether for sport, leisure or work.
For Autumn/Winter ’12 Diadora bring back their heritage model the B.Original – originally worn on the court by tennis champion Bjorn Borg. This ‘Made in Italy’ B.Original OG colourway features a white Kangaroo leather upper with silver leather accents on the tongue, side panel and heel. This model also features the ghille fast-lacing system, Kangaroo leather inner-lining and a white rubber outsole. The two new colourways (Inca Gold & Blue Denim) feature a soft Kangaroo suede upper with a perforated Diadora logo on the medial and lateral sides of the shoe. A de-bossed text brand logo can be seen on the tongue and the heel, this model also features kangaroo leather inner lining.
A ‘Made in Italy’ stamped label features on the inside of the tongue on all thee models. The B.Original comes housed in a replica style box along with a canvas shoe bag.
The Diadora Heritage B.Original is available now both in-store and on mail order as a Footpatrol ‘Worldwide Exclusive’. Sizes range from a UK6 – UK12 priced at £100.
